The leading researchers, doctors, and athletic trainers from both leagues gather every year to debrief the latest in TBI research and organize collaborations for the coming year. The conference is unique in the amount of round table discussion and camaraderie displayed each year which helps facilitate significant scientific and clinical advancements.

This year, patient centric presentations highlighted the psychological effects of concussion and discussion surrounding athlete retirement. The physiological aspects of the injury and how to best treat functional deficits were also discussed.

Headway's Renberg was able to learn from leaders in the field, add to the discussion, continue to make connections, and spread Headway's New Tough message throughout the two day event.

We appreciate the interest of those in attendance in the patient athlete/perspective.

A big thank you to Martha Cooper, the Big Ten Academic Alliance, and the Ivy League for having us!
