Pucci Speaks at International Symposium On Clinical Neuroscience

Headway Co-Founder Josephine Pucci addressed an audience of medical professionals at the International Symposium on Clinical Neuroscience (ISCN) in Orlando, Florida on February 3rd, 2017. The ISCN is an annual gathering of educators, scientists and clinicians involved in the field of neuroscience.

At the event, Pucci gave a presentation that provided insight into the patient and athletes perspective of concussion recovery. The goal was to help physicians better understand the quality of neurological care necessary to ensure that patients make a full recovery.

In her speech, Pucci provided a window into her own mindset during a long and challenging recovery. "Today I am going to tell you a little bit about the adversity that I faced in my pursuit of an Olympic medal. I will tell you about the lessons from hockey that carried me through these tough times during my recovery, the new lessons I learned from challenges that went above and beyond anything I have ever been confronted with, and how doctors made such an impact on me during a very vulnerable time in my life", she explained.

Pucci also had the opportunity to introduce Headway and present the New Tough video.
